The GIFT consortium met for the second time in July at the pilot site of Harstad in Norway, beyond the Arctic circle! After a brief recap of the six first months of the project by the coordinator Sašo Brus from INEA, the whole team dove in the project topics and the running work packages progress. Some important decisions were made regarding use-cases and solutions deployment in the demonstration sites. In this way, the consortium then had different field trips to visit facilities that will be integrated to Harstad pilots. In particular, a fish farm visit was made to understand better the possibilities of flexibility that can be provided by such industry. Team building events were also organized to reinforce the links between all the partners, including mountain hiking and cultural visits. Next meeting is planned in the first quarter of 2020 on the other demo site which is the pretty island of Procida in Italy.
